We’ve seen quite an interesting phenomenon pop up lately with the rise of social media. We’re going to go ahead and call it: flash.
Stay with me on this one.
I know you’re very likely wondering what in the world we could be talking about. Could we possibly have the nerve to be suggesting that social media is not a valuable tool? NO! Absolutely not (go ahead and breathe that sigh of relief now.)
No, of course not. Social media is an important tool in this market. It’s not going anywhere, and so it’s important to embrace it, from a business standpoint. From a personal standpoint, it’s a really amazing tool to keep in touch with people that we don’t get to see every day.
But it’s interesting, because as we’ve watched, we’ve seen people do the strangest things. Don’t get me wrong. We understand that there is something inherently important about utilizing the latest tools and trends to increase exposure for business. But again, some of the strangest things are happening as we scroll through these devices, and try as we might, the best word we’ve seen come from them is this one: flash. There’s a lot of color, and movement, and magic pouring through your screens. And that’s okay. But as we’ve sat and talked through our marketing and brand strategizing meetings with our team, the one thing that rings true to us is this: we’re about community. We’re proud to be a part of this community, and we’re known for doing good title, and that’s what has turned out to be good business.

So you’ll see us on Social Media – we’re there right alongside the rest of them. We’re giving insight and education, tips and tricks, tools and promises. But we’re doing it our way, promoting what matters to us. And yeah – we’re marketing. Because that’s what businesses do to stay in business. But what we’re marketing is not always about the flash. It’s about the substance. That’s who we are and that’s what we know.
